Website redesign for businesses that have outgrown their site
A new look, a faster site and a clear path to enquire, without losing your domain, your email or the Google rankings you've already earned. Your current site stays live until the new one is approved.
Signs it's time
Five signs your website is costing you work
- 01
It looks wrong on a phone
Text too small to read, buttons too close to tap, a menu that hides the one thing people came for. Most visitors judge you on their phone.
- 02
It's slow to open
On South African mobile data, every heavy image and plugin is a few more seconds of a blank screen, and a few more visitors gone back to the search results.
- 03
Nobody enquires through it
Visitors arrive and leave without calling or messaging. Usually the next step is buried, unclear or missing altogether.
- 04
You can't find yourself on Google
Search for your own service and town, and competitors come up first. The site isn't telling search engines what you do or where you do it.
- 05
It no longer matches the business
Old prices, services you've stopped offering, photos from years ago. It describes the business you were, not the one you run now.
What stays, what changes
Keep what's working. Rebuild the rest.
What you keep
- Your domain name and your email addresses
- The pages and wording that already bring in work
- Your search rankings: every old page address redirects to its new one
- Your live site, right up until you approve the new one
What changes
- A design made for your brand, not a template
- A layout composed for phones first
- A faster site, tested before launch
- One clear way to enquire on every screen
- Search setup: titles, descriptions, structured data and a sitemap
How a redesign runs
From your old site to the new one without a gap
- 01
Review
We go through your current site: which pages get visits, what people search to find you, and where enquiries drop off.
- 02
Plan
The pages, features and next step for the new site, agreed in writing, along with a map of every old address and where it will point.
- 03
Design and build
The new site is built on a private preview address. You follow progress in your client portal while your current site carries on as normal.
- 04
Launch check and switch-over
The new site passes our launch checklist (security, a POPIA-compliant privacy policy, accessibility, speed and search setup), then your domain moves across with the redirects in place.
- 05
Care
After launch, a monthly care plan covers hosting, updates and uptime monitoring.
Questions
Website redesign, answered
Will I lose my Google rankings?
Not if the move is handled properly. Every old page address is pointed at its new one with a permanent redirect, so links and search results that found your old site still arrive at the right page.
Can I keep my domain and email?
Yes. Your domain and your email addresses stay yours. We point the domain at the new site and leave your mail working as it is.
Does my old site go offline during the redesign?
No. The new site is built on a private preview address while your current one stays live. We only switch over once you've approved the new site.
My site is on Wix or WordPress. Can you still redesign it?
Yes. We work from whatever you have now. We take across the pages and wording that are working, then rebuild the site so it is faster, and keep it up to date for you on the care plan.
How long does a redesign take?
Usually 2 to 4 weeks, about the same as a new site. A redesign starts from a review of what you already have, and that review often makes the plan quicker to agree.
